Maldiva's Islands The country that I want to visit with all my desire is called Maldives, it is a sovereign island country located in the Indian Ocean. Its territory is organized into 26 atolls. The capital and, at the same time, the most populated city is Malé. After independence and the boom in international tourism, the Maldives began to receive the first foreign tourists. Italians, who "discovered" this destination for the holidays, still occupy the first position in number of visitors today. The island's government , suspicious that their country would lose its customs and way of life in the face of a possible massive arrival of tourists.
